razia’s shadow: the production details

Okay, so here’s the deal. We’ve been flooded with emails about this so I’m going to break it down. Some people want to put on a full-fledged stage production. Some people want to perform a song or two. Some people want to make a live action movie. Some people want to make an animated video. Some people want to just sing it in their bathroom or with their friends. And others still just want to hear the album as an instrumental. So we decided this was the best way to try and please everyone. We will be accepting 50 submissions. These 50 people will receive an instrumental copy of the album and the script. There is no sheet music and the script does not include any added dialogue or stage direction.

This album brings very vivid imagery to mind. I wanted to leave the project very open-ended and allow people to hash out their own interpretations. Obviously, though, this does hinder some people hoping to put on a traditional musical at a high school or theatre. I think, for now, though, that this is the best path for us to take. If you are waiting to submit, please do so, as we will be choosing the 50 very shortly.

Finally, for those who simply want the instrumental album for personal use, we will be posting the album for sale on iTunes and in the FBR Webstore. Should be available shortly. I’ll keep you posted. After reading through the submissions we’ve received so far, I’m very excited to see what you guys come up with.
