    oh such torturous things…
    =]
    song of the moment?
    definitely holy the sea.
    question though–are the
bawaba brothers real (like they always can be seen, by everyone, at the sea) or just
spirits that guarded the sea and
only came out to take across
    the two chosen when the
    finally arrived?
    not sure if that^^ made
any sense but ive been wondering about it…since they
    seem, well so, mythical? lol

Hey thomas, i just started liking DURDEN. I don’t like it…

I love it. Just wondering though, what will your concerts be like? Will they be full on musicals with performances? OR like, just a show? I love your music and all the other great artists features on the album. good work.

(p.s. I love the panic reference. you guys both rock!)

Thomas! I met you last night at Emo’s in Austin. My friend and I had the bitchin homemade Razia’s Shadow tees. You and I had a really nice discussion on your writing process and drumming. I just wanted to thank you so much for making my concert year. I was so excited to get to see my favorite band, and very honored to meet my biggest musical influence. I hope you enjoyed last night as much as I did! Thanks!

    @Camille: I think Razia is the mountain…. :3

Oh man, I just realized who your bassist is! I thought he looked familiar when I saw you guys playing the other night, but I figured it was just because he sorta reminded me of Shia LeBeouf… (umm, no offense? haha) Does he read these? If not, please tell him that I think his photography is awesome! SO awesome, really. I wish I had made the connection earlier so I could’ve told him so myself, but oh well…

Also, I think you should post that silverchair song here on your blog. Your music and theirs have such similar qualities that I bet a lot of your fans would like it.

I was blown away by how brilliant Razia’s Shadow is. Seriously, such an amazing album. I was wondering, are there any plans to make it into a movie or something like that? It would be so sick.

can’t wait for the new podcast!

oh and i’ve already transcribed the orchestral parts for the first three songs from the album, i hope that’s not a copyright violation, i only want to have them so i can press-gang my orchestra teacher into letting us play them next semester D:

    Who is your bassist?

  22. garret
    Posted November 4, 2008 at 9:17 pm | Permalink

    Thomas–
My name is Garret. I really must say that your musical will leave me spellbound for many decades to come. This album completed my lifelong search for my purpose. Anything I can get my hands on related to the plot, score, etc. will make me so elated, because when I grow up, I want to be the producer, casting director and lighting director of the stage musical Razia’s Shadow. I love it with all my heart, and I get the chills every time I think about it. I don’t think a film or anything less than an honest, raw stage production of this intricately spun masterpiece will do justice.
The bands and their members who helped craft this album are fantastic, but I think the baton should be passed on, for everyone’s sake. Open auditions for roles are the first step to the musical tour.
My mind is a myriad of ideas directed toward Razia’s Shadow. If you could ever take a few minutes of your day to make a phone call to me, do a video chat or anything of that nature, I’d love to share those ideas with you and talk stage production.
Thank you for your time. I pray to God that you’ll get the chance to read this and consider my destiny. I’ll hope you can contact me soon.

    Thomas,

Just bought the new album a few days ago. I’m already on my third time through it and I think it’s F’in awesome. It would be incredible if you could somehow get all of the characters together and perform this live. What a show that would be. Keep up the excellent musicianship.

That was an absolutely beautiful album!
With a beautiful message. It has it all.

I really loved how complex the characters seemed, particularly Pallis.
But I do have a question about Anhura. After the world was reunited, did she have to adhere to her agreement with the Doctor?
That’s probably a stupid question, but you have me wondering.
