it would be physically impossible for me to have any more love for everything i’ve heard about this record so far. I MEAN LIKE IMPOSSIBLE BECAUSE I WOULD DIE FROM THE AWESOMENESS. i just woke up, just pre-ordered, and pretty much just creamed my pjs. my expectations, all built up from all those little clips, are astronomical. i don’t know that i’ve ever been more excited for a release. (not even brand new’s the devil and god, and that is a HUGE COMPLIMENT TO YOU, SIR.) mostly i just want to say i hope this goes well for you. after seeing you play years ago on the tiny alterknit lounge stage at the rag factory in hollywood to seeing almost the entire dissolution of the band to this promise of epicness… damn, you deserve it, baby. forgive durden is a study in how to keep your chin up.

not that my comments will mean much, but i’ve been checking this page regularly pretty much since you created it, i listened to the song this morning at first i thought you had gone nuts with artistic power but once i had read into the story and listened to the clips looked at the artwork i think this could be fucking big! it something so fresh and you’re brave as all hell to have such a massive project, its so good of FBR to back you up on it, i really hope it does well for you i am excited to hear the thing in full

Having just read the interview you did with altpress, I would like to express my wishes for the older material to be played on tour, the way it always has, or at the very least done acoustic. I’m interested in this new project, but havent really connected with the 2 songs i’ve heard so far. I know the material should be heard in its entirety before i pass judgment, and i will. But i have never really been a fan of the broadway style musicals. I saw sweeney todd this past winter and would love to see it w/o the musical parts. I like the old disney movies like alladin and lion king, and i read that you do as well, but I think its going to be quite an accomplishment to win me over after wonderland. After seeing you and the other guys at least 5-6 times after that cd came out, i’ve grown quite attached to those songs, and would feel a bit peeved if i never got to hear them the way i’ve always heard them live.

we’re on to a new chapter. or i am, anyways. as elton says, this train don’t stop there anymore. it’s a new band and things will inevitably feel different. no more crazy big t faces. no more goofy andy smiles. no more hippie jesse. no amount of wonderland songs can bring those days back. but it’s not a sad thing. or it shouldn’t be, at least. it’s exciting. we’re moving forward and into new realms, and i’d love to have you along.
I understand its a new chapter in your musical life, but I would consider it a sad thing, because honestly, Wonderland could very well be one of my top 5 or 10 albums of all time. Its almost like there isn’t a Forgive Durden anymore. The songs are still yours, the band will always be yours. I guess I just don’t see why you either need to change the past (by converting a couple wonderland songs to the new format) or somewhat ignore how you obtained a majority of your fans up to this point. If you are telling me that I’ll never hear Ants, Ear to Ear, or For A Dreamer, Night’s The Only Time Of Day live, at least one more time, then I honestly will be very bummed. It would be nice to at least do a “for the last time” kind of tour, since it was an unexpected change of band memebers and musical style that not everyone will be on board with. I sit here typing this and it sounds almost rude/mean and I am totally not trying to sound that way. I guess its just a hard pill to swallow that what got me into your music in the first place isn’t going to continue. I’m excited for the future of your music and already have tickets to your show with steel train in novemeber, and I wish you the best. Its not the Wonderland days that I want back, its the fantastic music and the impeccable live shows that I long for. I just hope that the last time I saw Forgive Durden wasnt the last time that I heard some of my favorite music.
